When I learned my friend Caty was a born and raised Jersey Girl, I was astonished. She didn’t have the accent that everyone on TV and movies from Jersey has and was so quiet. Yeah, I was basing this judgment off stereotypes, but those were the only things I had to base my knowledge from.
So when MTV started advertising the show “Jersey Shore” last year, I immediately called her up. What made it even better was that the show was filming 10 minutes away from her hometown. I would watch it with my Direct TV Bundle and talk to Caty on instant messenger while we watched it together, commenting on the crazy things the cast would say.
There were even a few times that the housemates went to places that Caty would go to at home, like a bar or restaurant.
I know I’m a part of the population that gave that show its high ratings and encouraged the housemates to continue their antics for another season, but it’s just too funny to not discuss with my Jersey Girl friend
